Introduction

To start off, my name is Myron Bitsoi and I this is my website that I have created. It is somewhat a picture of a how it is to be in the Military. Myron Bitsoi in his Marine Corps Uniform I served 12 years in the United States Marine Corps from April 2000 - December 2012. Traveling to various places in the world, I've seen different cultures and met many people throughout my journey. All were positive moments in my life and if I could, I would do it all over again. The reason why I joined was to travel and experience what it is to be on my own, enjoying life at an early age, being independent, making my way through life, with nothing to worry about except myself.

During high school I was working part-time at a local 24 hour store, working and going to school. But, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do after I graduated high school. All I knew was that I did want to go to college at some point, but I also wanted to travel. So one day I decided to go to the career center during class hours and next thing you know it, I was talking to a Marine Corps Recruiter. He starts to tell me the different types of services, what type of jobs there was, and what I could do, even tells me about the different places I could go. I didn't care much about any of it, but, what did stick out was the traveling. So I decided to enlist in the United States Marine Corps.

Within my first year after joining the military, I had the privilege of deploying to Okinawa, Japan. While I was deployed to Okinawa, Japan I got the oppurtunity visit mainland Japan and Thailand. My experience there was memorable and full of enjoyment, I got to travel to these places while at the same time working. During non-working hours was where I did get to go off base, see the sites, experience the different cultures and the food.

Within my third year, I got to travel to Sydney and Cairns, Australia while I was on a military ship sailing with the Navy. I even got a chance to visit Oahu, Hawaii as well. It was the best times of my life.
